Report: Studio trying to quash movie that portrays Trump getting HIV

Studio executives are reportedly trying to make “disappear” a movie that has a scene in which Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump contracts HIV.

Sony Pictures has been limiting its marketing of the movie, “The Brothers Grimsby,” by Sacha Baron Cohen, the Huffington Post reported.

{mosads}The movie is scheduled to open in the U.S. on March 11. It has already been shown in theaters in Europe.

Sony executives have tried to push for the removal of the scene from the movie, but Baron Cohen has the final say.

The studio added a disclaimer to the movie noting that the presidential candidate did not take part in the making.

“If you were told that they’re shying away from the movie because of the political implications, I can tell you that’s 100 percent true,” a well-placed source told the Huffington Post.

“They’re subtly trying to make it disappear so Donald Trump doesn’t sue the studio, and also if Donald Trump wins, then they don’t have a major problem with the corporation where they’ve alienated the president,” another source said.

A Sony Pictures spokesperson denied the studio was trying to make the film disappear.

“This is utter nonsense. We have been supportive of the filmmaker and the film,” spokesperson Jean Guerin said.
