Robert Franke—a retired university provost and minister who was evicted from an assisted living facility in Little Rock, Arkansas, after his HIV-positive status was revealed—has been invited to the White House, according to a Lambda Legal statement. Franke and his attorneys at Lambda Legal settled a lawsuit in September with Parkstone Living Center, managers of the facility. Franke will participate in a discussion on HIV and aging on October 27 organized by the White House Office of National AIDS Policy.
