It’s a common misconception that “if you have HIV you can’t get insurance” but in many cases this isn’t the case. If someone is applying for motor, home, buildings, pet or home emergency insurance then these policies do not require a health questionnaire to be underwritten. So if someone wants to insure their home, car or pet then HIV status will not be an issue.
