Make a donation to NAM

NAM is a UK-based charity. We produce independent, evidence-based and clearly written information to support the fight against HIV.

In order to continue our work we need support from people like you. People who understand that the work we do plays a vital role in supporting people with HIV to look after their health, make decisions about their care, and live a life free from the anxiety and fear that all too often accompanies an HIV diagnosis.

If you are able, please consider making a donation today to support our work. You can be sure that, no matter how large or small your donation, every penny will go towards providing HIV information that supports people to fight HIV.

NAM’s small staff and trustee team passionately believe in the value of the work we do and information resources we provide. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you for joining our efforts to make sure people with HIV have access to the information that we know is vital to support their health and lives.

Gift aid

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity and boosting the value of your donations. It allows NAM to claim almost a third more on top of your donation if you are a UK taxpayer, at no extra cost to you. For every pound you give, we will receive an extra 25 pence from HM Revenue & Customs. Make sure you always tick the Gift Aid box when you donate, to make your donation go that little bit further.

How to Gift Aid your donation

All you have to do is make a simple Gift Aid Declaration so that NAM can claim back Gift Aid on your donation. You do this by simply ticking the Gift Aid box when you donate.

By agreeing to Gift Aid your donation, you are agreeing to the Gift Aid Declaration (see below).

Gift Aid Declaration

I confirm that I am a UK taxpayer and I would like NAM Publications to treat all donations I have made in the 6 years prior to this year and all donations I make in the future as Gift Aid donations until I notify you otherwise. I understand that I must pay an amount in Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April one year to 5 April the next) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that NAM will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year (currently 25p for every £1 donated).

I know I have been lucky, but I think I am still alive partly due to making the right decisions at the right times, because I had the information to make those choices and have those conversations…[NAM] gave me tools to make those informed choices. Paul, NAM service user, July 2013

I remember the void inside when reading … that what I had, had no cure: your newsletter time after time gave me the information and hope I needed, and often did not have the courage to ask for. A, NAM service user, July 2013

Community Consensus Statement on Access to HIV Treatment and its Use for Prevention

Together, we can make it happen

We can end HIV soon if people have equal access to HIV drugs as treatment and as PrEP, and have free choice over whether to take them.

Launched today, the Community Consensus Statement is a basic set of principles aimed at making sure that happens.

The Community Consensus Statement is a joint initiative of AVAC, EATG, MSMGF, GNP+, HIV i-Base, the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, ITPC and NAM/aidsmap
