Patients who develop symptoms of liver impairment such as increasing fatigue, abdominal pain, or jaundice should contact their healthcare provider without delay. Patients should be especially cautious about combining multiple drugs and tell their doctor about other substances they are taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, recreational drugs, herbal remedies, and nutritional supplements.

There is currently no effective vaccine for hepatitis C.

The Community Consensus Statement is a joint initiative of AVAC, EATG, MSMGF, GNP+, HIV i-Base, the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, ITPC and NAM/aidsmap
